Staff Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support company products.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product teams to define and implement new features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability to handle increasing user demand.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues in production environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our backend infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
