Pan-Asia Sector Analyst – Asia Semiconductors / Tech Hardware

Third Bridge’s Library division delivers investment research to global institutional investors across public and private markets.

The Sector Analyst team within the Library division is responsible for uncovering actionable insight through in-depth conversations with senior executives and industry specialists, driving sector and regional coverage strategy, and engaging with clients to showcase the value of our research.

We are looking for a motivated Semiconductors / Tech Hardware analyst to join our team in Hong Kong.

In this role you will be expected to

• Produce in-depth research coverage on semiconductor and tech hardware stocks across Asia ex-China by speaking to on-the-ground experts and industry executives;
• Generate ideas, conduct research on topics of interest, and prepare detailed question lists in advance of those expert interviews;
• Drive discussions with industry specialists with the aim of surfacing value-added and actionable insights to support clients’ understanding of / knowledge in the areas that they invest;
• Engage with top institutional investor clients to present our research and foster relationships, collaborate with internal account management and sales teams to broaden your reach and build a brand for yourself;
• Build relationships with senior industry executives across your areas of coverage; figure out where they have non-consensus views or granular insights that are difficult to obtain;

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-4yrs of relevant experience in equity or credit research, management consulting, or other investment research-related roles
• Previous experience and strong understanding of semiconductors and global hardware upstream/downstream verticals across Taiwan, China, US
• Native-level Mandarin and strong command of spoken and written English as analysts will engage with our global client base
• Demonstrable experience in conducting fundamental research, valuation / financial modelling, and articulating actionable investment theses/non-consensus views when pitching stocks
• Strong team orientation, highly collaborative with proven experience in driving outcomes through teamwork
