Position Summary
Java - 4 to 8 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications using Spring Boot.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices following industry best practices.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and high-level designs.
- Develop integrations with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party systems.
- Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and improve application performance.
- Implement security standards including authentication, authorization, and API security.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards, design principles, and development best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and environment management.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Product Owners and Architects to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Contribute to system scalability, reliability, observability, and maintainability initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and release planning.
Required Skills
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Java application development .
- Strong expertise in Java.
- Extensive experience with:
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring Security
- Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and Microservices .
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns.
- Experience with containerized application development and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and database design.
- Experience in query optimization, indexing, and database performance tuning.
- Experience working with Github and branching strategies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit .
- Knowledge of API documentation standards such as Swagger .
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience consuming and integrating external APIs and services.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing code and guiding junior developers.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with RabbitMQ , Kafka, or other messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Graylog
- Experience implementing event-driven architectures.
- Exposure to reporting platforms such as JasperReports.
