Senior Software Engineer POSITION PURPOSE:The position holder leads development on one or a small number of related product teams. WHO YOU ARE:RequiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field12+ years experience in IT, with a focus on systems architecture, software development and IT process7+ years experience in a senior IT role, preferably as an Enterprise Architect or similar leadership positionProficiency in IT infrastructure, including cloud computing, networking, databases, and application developmentExpert knowledge of integration patterns and practicesExpert understanding of software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)Strong proficiency in software design and architectureExtensive experience with version control systems like GitStrong knowledge of software development tools and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)Extensive experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API designExtensive experience with automated testing frameworks and toolsIn-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to translate technical language to non-technical stakeholdersPreferredExtensive experience with containerization and orchestrations tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Expertise in a specific area such as machine learning, cybersecurity, or mobile developmentDeep understanding of DevOps practices and toolsProven ability to lead and mentor junior developersStrong understanding of software security principles and best practices Ever feel burnt out by bureaucracy?
