About The Role

Job Overview

As an R&M Technician - LWD I, you will support the repair, maintenance, assembly, testing, and calibration of Logging While Drilling (LWD) tools and equipment. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to build technical expertise in drilling technologies. The role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Level I repairs, inspections, and function testing on LWD downhole tools and equipment, including drivers, pulsers, batteries, gamma tools, BAPs, IDSs, interconnects, flow diverters, MFRs, NDTs, and collars.
  • Perform gamma verifications and calibrations, IDS check stand roll tests, neutron density calibrations, and MFR air hangs.
  • Assemble and disassemble LWD tool strings and perform tool programming and function testing.
  • Conduct pulser wet tests, main valve replacements, and tip/orifice replacements.
  • Assemble and disassemble lithium batteries.
  • Complete service records, maintenance documentation, and ensure accurate electronic and hard-copy filing.
  • Support failure analysis activities and update records within reliability databases, including completion of work orders and technical reports.
  • Assist team members and support workshop operations as required.
  • Mentor trainees when requested and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Maintain workshop equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Follow all quality, health, safety, environmental, and operational procedures and policies.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

  • Basic technical knowledge gained through academic studies, internships, projects, or laboratory work is advantageous.
