Senior Associate Director – Digital & Building Technology

About The Role
About You
You will lead and deliver ICT infrastructure design, combining robust technical design with strong client and stakeholder engagement. You’re hands‑on, commercially aware, and comfortable coordinating across disciplines to achieve high‑quality outcomes. You will enjoy providing support and mentoring to junior team members whilst working collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders. Experience working in a consulting environment delivering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-office project team will also be well-regarded.
Responsibilities
- Produce complete ICT design deliverables: written reports, drawings, technical specifications, and schematic diagrams (e.g., data networks).
- Attendance at technical meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Provide technical leadership and manage team outputs; set quality expectations and mentor where needed.
- Confidently question, challenge, and innovate design solutions; manage client and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure all specifications, drawings, and calculations meet applicable industry, legal, and quality standards.
- Coordinate ICT design with related engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical and mechanical).
- Review and continuously improve practices; challenge “standard” approaches where better outcomes are possible.
- Plan, host, and conduct client/stakeholder meetings; capture and confirm technical and operational requirements.
- Undertake peer and QA reviews of ICT design deliverables.

Key Requirements
- Engineering degree in an appropriate ICT infrastructure design discipline, or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, BICSI, etc).
- 5 – 10 years ICT infrastructure design experience across different building types, including commercial buildings, hospitality, healthcare and data centers.
- Strong technical capability in:
- LAN Ethernet switching
- Structured cabling systems
- Fibre optic networks
- Wi‑Fi network communications
- Telecommunication network infrastructure and services
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of: data cabling manufacture/contracting; IT/IP systems integration; network technology vendor/manufacturer; IT/multi‑disciplinary consulting; construction project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues, clients, and contractors.

Experience in the following will also be desirable
- Proficiency with 2D CAD and coordination of 3D Revit models.
- Experience producing and administering procurement documentation.
- Evidence of leading small technical teams or workstreams.
