We are looking for a hands-on leader to serve as our Director of HR Managed Services based in either the New Orleans or Texas areas. In this role, you oversee and lead a team of remote/hybrid HR consulting professionals, including HR Generalists, HR Business Partners, and Senior HR Business Partners. As a client-facing consulting environment the Director is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that align with both client objectives and Skillcloud business goals while ensuring operational excellence, exceptional client service, employee engagement, retention, and sustainable growth. This role is accountable for strategic planning, financial performance, service delivery, operational metrics, client retention, employee retention, and continuous process improvement.

  • Exempt salary between $140-$150k plus incentive-based compensation rewards.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated success managing operational performance, financial metrics, client outcomes, employee engagement, stakeholder relationships, and strategic business initiatives.
  • -
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business Administration, or a related field.
  • -
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, strong employment law knowledge, consulting mindset . SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.
  • -
  • Extensive experience in HR operations, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • -
  • Strong expertise in HCM platforms and HRIS systems.
  • -
  • Proven track record in leading large remote teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering client-facing HR services.
  • -
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead organizational change .
  • -
  • Strategic mindset with a strong ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives .
  • -
  • High attention to detail with a high standard for data quality, documentation, and confidentiality (HIPAA/PHI handling awareness).

  • Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

What You’ll Do

Lead HR professionals, drive client success , oversee operational performance, coach leaders, manage financial results, and optimize service delivery

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with long-term business objectives .

Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders while guiding complex HR strategies and workforce initiatives across multiple industries

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HR functions while overseeing divisional performance metrics, utilization , productivity measures, profitability, compliance, and operational KPIs.

Lead client consultations, operational reviews, presentations, and impromptu meetings as business needs arise. Respond promptly to client concerns and escalations while supporting client retention and growth.

Leverage HR technology platforms and HRIS systems to optimize service delivery and support informed decision-making.

Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Operations, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and Marketing to solve business challenges and drive organizational success.

Maintain accountability for revenue goals, operational metrics, profitability, client retention, employee retention, utilization targets, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.

Exercise independent judgment and regularly make business-critical decisions. Rapidly assess complex situations, prioritize competing demands, and respond promptly to employee and client needs .
