About The Role

Group Company: Shalina Group Designation: Medical Delegate Office Location: Angola Position description: Responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical and healthcare products to healthcare professionals, building and maintaining strong professional relationships, providing accurate product information, and achieving assigned sales and business objectives within the designated territory. Primary Responsibilities: Promote and detail company products to doctors, pharmacists, healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals. Conduct regular visits to doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare institutions within the assigned territory. Present accurate, scientific and up-to-date product information in accordance with approved promotional materials. Achieve assigned sales, prescription generation and coverage objectives. Implement the medical promotion strategy and action plans within the assigned territory. Identify business opportunities and potential customers. Monitor market developments, competitor activities and customer feedback. Provide regular reports on customer visits, activities, market intelligence and territory performance. Participate in product launches, medical events, conferences, meetings and promotional activities. Follow up on customer needs and ensure appropriate communication with the relevant internal teams. Maintain an updated customer database and territory coverage plan. Additional Responsibilities: Support marketing and sales campaigns and promotional initiatives. Provide feedback from healthcare professionals regarding products, competitors and market trends. Support product training and educational activities when required. Assist in organising scientific meetings, product presentations and medical events. Ensure proper use and management of promotional materials and company resources. Perform other duties related to the position as assigned by management. Reporting Team Reporting Designation: Medical Sales Manager / Regional Sales Manager Reporting Department: Sales & Marketing Educational qualifications preferred Category: Bachelor's Degree Field specialization: Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Marketing or related fields Degree: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Academic score: Not specified Institution tier: Recognised / accredited institution Required Certification/s: No mandatory certification. Certification or professional training in Medical Promotion, Pharmaceutical Sales or a related field will be an advantage. Required Training/s: Product knowledge training, medical detailing, pharmaceutical sales techniques, communication and presentation skills, compliance and ethical promotion practices. Required work experience Industry: Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Medical, FMCG or related industry Role: Medical Delegate / Medical Representative / Pharmaceutical Sales Representative or similar position Years of experience: 1–3 years preferred; fresh graduates with strong potential may also be considered. Key Performance Indicators: Achievement of assigned sales targets. Achievement of monthly and quarterly territory objectives. Number and quality of healthcare professional visits. Territory coverage and call frequency. Prescription/product adoption growth. New customer acquisition. Customer relationship and engagement levels. Timely and accurate submission of activity reports. Required abilities Physical: Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory, visit healthcare facilities and spend extended periods in the field. Other: Ability to work independently, manage multiple customer relationships, meet targets and deadlines, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and work under pressure. Work Environment Details: Field-based position involving frequent visits to doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare institutions. The role requires regular travel within the assigned territory, combined with office-based activities such as reporting, planning and team meetings. Specific requirements Travel: Yes – frequent travel within the assigned territory is required. Vehicle: Valid driving licence required; access to a vehicle is an advantage / may be required depending on territory. Work Permit: Must have the legal right to work in Angola. Other details Pay Rate: As per approved company salary structure and grade. Contract Types: Permanent / Fixed-term contract, subject to company requirements and applicable labour legislation. Time Constraints: Standard working hours with flexibility required to accommodate healthcare professional schedules, customer visits, meetings and business activities. Compliance Related: High – strict adherence to company policies, pharmaceutical regulations, ethical marketing practices, approved promotional materials and applicable healthcare requirements is required.
