Role Summary

Responsible for quality testing of incoming raw material (scrap) at the plant, ensuring grade compliance before acceptance into inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct RM inward inspection and testing (visual grading + XRF-based composition check)
• Verify material against PUREMAX grade specifications (200/300/500/800/1000/1000+)
• Record and maintain testing data/logs (FMS sheet entries)
• Flag off-spec material (contamination — Mn, Al, Zn, coating) for rejection/escalation
• Coordinate with procurement/plant team on grade disputes
• Support pre-dispatch QC checks for outgoing material where applicable
• Maintain calibration records for testing equipment (XRF gun, MatScope)

Skills Required

• Basic understanding of metallurgy/chemistry fundamentals
• Willingness to work on shop floor, not just lab
• Attention to detail
• Basic Excel/data entry skills
• Comfortable working in a plant/industrial environment
