Food Safety Officer – Ready Chef, Dublin
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Food Safety Office – Ready Chef, Dublin, a role which will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here are Sysco – keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.
The role requires a strong candidate who can ensure that the reputation of the business is maintained through implementation of robust Food Safety Standards.
This is an evening shift role and the successful candidate will be required to work from 3PM to 12AM 5 days per week (weekend availability is essential as this roster is 5 over 7)
Key Accountabilities
- Ensuring customer orders are appropriately stored prior to departure.
- Day to day dealings with HACCP & Quality Control procedures including conducting daily on-line production checks and overall control of relevant records.
- Maintaining BRC Grade A standard and preparations for audits.
- Ensuring compliance to all relevant legal and customer requirements.
- Developing Customer specifications according to legal and customer requirements
- Liaising with staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the highest possible standard of the quality assurance system is continuously achieved.
- Ensuring Good manufacturing standards are maintained on the production floor.
- Conducting regular Quality and Food Safety Audits
- Compiling reports such as micro, suppliers & customer complaints
- Completion of product quality & positive release checks on various products across
- the site
- Quality inspection of products against specification and reporting out of specification
- Report and action any non-conformances.
- Ad hoc duties assigned by the Food Safety Manager
Requirements
- 3rd level qualification in Food Science or relevant degree
- Previous experience working in a food production industry
- Must be computer literate
- Auditing
- Report writing
