Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Supply Planning Intern located in Zuchwil , Switzerland for 9 months. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, although the start date is flexible.
As a part of the Global Planning team, you will contribute to the Supply Network planning and inventory optimization processes by supporting the development and implementation of data-driven solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to collect and analyse data, develop models, dashboards and provide insights to support strategic decision-making, including data modelling and scenario planning.
We continue to improve and strengthen our processes and, with that, are experiencing opportunities to address many variables in the supply chain. Specifically, we wish to develop our scenario planning capabilities to optimize supply parameters (lot size, lead time, etc.), including the financial and inventory impacts, through visualization of the data to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Base Business by running Weekly Performance Reports and supporting Supply Planners in their weekly and monthly drumbeats
- Understand key business opportunities linked to Supply Planning Management
- Drive Scenario Planning and come up with business recommendations
- Build Supply Network Planning maturity via workstream project contributions
Education
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD program, or equivalent
- This opportunity is intended for students actively pursuing their studies
- We are happy to support thesis projects required by your university
Experience and Skills
Required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- You are confident communicating in English
- Eager to learn and work with various groups across the company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong affinity for working with data
- You enjoy taking ownership of your work and seeing projects through from idea to implementation.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Alteryx, Power BI
- Exposure to ERP Systems ( mainly SAP )
- Understanding of planning tools (OMP, Kinaxis, or APO)
- Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
- Education or previous experience in Supply Chain Management
Other
- You are available full-time, but we can be flexible depending on your study requirements
- Travel will be occasional, to visit manufacturing sites
- APICS, Green Belt, and Project Management certifications would be an asset
