17740 - Engineer Specialist Traffic

VDOT’s Fredericksburg District is seeking an Engineer Specialist Traffic to support a variety of traffic engineering activities that help keep Virginia’s roadways safe and moving efficiently. In this role, you’ll conduct traffic studies including speed studies and safety studies, analyze data, and develop recommendations related to signage, pavement markings, traffic calming, and other traffic and safety concerns. The ideal candidate is analytical, skilled in writing memos and reports, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working with VDOT staff, local governments, contractors, and the public.
