Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

Join our team as a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the risk posture across IT and OT domains. You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing threats, tuning SIEM detections, and implementing security baselines. Additionally, you will conduct post-incident reviews, provide proactive threat research, and develop an Incident Response Plan. This hands-on role requires expertise in cybersecurity analytics, excellent communication skills, and a strong problem-solving ability.

• Identifying and analyzing threats across the enterprise, tuning SIEM detections, and developing correlation searches.
• Implementing STIGs and other security baselines to corporate systems, architecture, and applications, and conducting post-incident reviews.
• Developing, maintaining, and testing an Incident Response Plan and playbooks, and conducting regular security assessments.

• Expertise in Cybersecurity Analytics
• Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
• Professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment offering cybersecurity services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and overnight as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot security issues and provide user support
• At least one DoD baseline security certification, such as CISSP, Sec+, A+Sec, OR the ability to rapidly receive such certification
• BS in Cybersecurity or related technical field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience (5+ years’ experience in lieu of degree)
• Certifications Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or OSCP
• Professional technical leadership in a security operations center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity service
• Project management experience with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
