Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the risk posture across IT and OT domains. You will be responsible for identifying and analyzing threats, tuning SIEM detections, and serving as the technical escalation backstop for complex cybersecurity incidents. Additionally, you will conduct regular security assessments, develop and maintain an Incident Response Plan, and provide proactive threat research. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills, expertise in cybersecurity analytics, and a strong problem-solving ability.

• Identifying and analyzing threats across the enterprise, tuning SIEM detections, and developing correlation searches.
• Implementing STIGs and other security baselines to corporate systems, architecture, and applications, and conducting post-incident reviews.
• Developing, maintaining, and testing an Incident Response Plan and playbooks, and conducting regular security assessments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Expertise in Cybersecurity Analytics
• At least one DoD baseline security certification, such as CISSP, Sec+, A+Sec, OR the ability to rapidly receive such certification
• Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
• Professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar environment offering cybersecurity services
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, including weekends and overnight as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot security issues and provide user support
• BS in Cybersecurity or related technical field with 3+ years of relevant industry experience (5+ years’ experience in lieu of degree)
• Professional technical leadership in a security operations center (SOC) or similar cybersecurity service
• Certifications Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or OSCP
• Project management experience with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
