Engineering Manager (Supply)

Join Zenjob as an Engineering Manager for our Supply engineering team. In this player-coach role, you'll lead a cross-functional team of full-stack engineers, shape the roadmap with your product partner, and drive operational excellence. You'll also stay hands-on with system design and architecture decisions, and collaborate with other Engineering Managers and stakeholders across the company. Ideal candidates have several years of experience leading software engineers, a strong technical foundation, and a product mindset.

• Engagieren Sie sich intensiv mit dem Produkt: Hinterfragen Sie Annahmen, stellen Sie Vorschläge in Frage und bringen Sie eigene Ideen ein – konstruktiv und immer mit Blick auf die geschäftlichen Auswirkungen.

• Several years of experience leading software engineers as a people manager, ideally in a product-led B2C or marketplace environment
• A strong technical foundation: you've worked as a senior engineer yourself and can still credibly engage on architecture, code, and technical trade-offs
• Fluent English (our company language); German is a plus
• Pragmatism in balancing delivery speed, quality, and maintainability
• A product mindset: you care about outcomes over output and know how to connect engineering work to user and business impact
• Experience growing engineers across levels – coaching, feedback, and performance management hold no secrets for you
• Comfort with our stack: we build in TypeScript across both backend and frontend, with some older services still in Java and Groovy
