Manager of Accounting

About The Role
Join our team as an Accounting Manager, where you will lead the general accounting function, manage the monthly financial close, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies. You will partner closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, drive the development and implementation of accounting policies and processes, and support strategic finance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience in a high-growth manufacturing or technology environment.
- Lead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting records, and supporting the timely preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and financial reporting structure, ensuring transactions are appropriately classified and recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations, and lead and support strategic finance initiatives.
- Experience leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing deadlines, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive accounting initiatives to completion in a fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and technical accounting
- Experience with ERP systems, including implementation, optimization, or major system enhancements
- Experience working in a SOX-compliant and/or public company environment
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of experience serving in a team lead, supervisory, or people leadership role, including experience managing direct reports and/or leading accounting projects and initiatives
- Experience in a high-growth manufacturing, technology, or similarly complex operating environment
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
- Experience managing external financial statement audits
