Software Engineer - Treasury Money Movement

About The Role

Join Wise, a global technology company on a mission to make money movement easier and more affordable for everyone. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will design and maintain scalable microservices, build user interfaces, and develop logic to handle real-world constraints. You will also optimize data infrastructure to ensure accurate accounting of money movements.

  • Architect and maintain scalable microservices capable of handling high transaction volumes.
  • Design and build user interfaces to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Develop logic to handle real-world constraints in global money movement.

Qualifications

**Technical Excellence**

  • 3+ years of experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, and hands-on experience with the Spring framework.
  • 3+ years of experience with React.
  • A track record of writing clean, maintainable code and a strong belief in best practices like code reviews, open feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with backend development, including databases (SQL/NoSQL), synchronous/asynchronous communication, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with web development technologies such as REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • The ability to design technical solutions that balance latency, throughput, adaptability and scalability.
  • A passion for learning new technologies, tools, and patterns to solve problems effectively.

  • The ability to take ownership of problems, propose solutions, and drive projects end-to-end to deliver measurable impact.
