Senior Industrial Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Industrial Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in developing the processes, equipment, and factory that produce our bots and structures at scale. You will work closely with various teams, including hardware engineering, supply chain, quality, and testing, to prototype, productionize, and deploy manufacturing solutions. Your responsibilities will include designing and deploying manufacturing layouts, developing workflows for a manufacturing execution system, overseeing equipment procurement and installation, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with suppliers on manufacturing technologies. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of practical experience in manufacturing, strong project management skills, and a background in industrial engineering or a related field.

• Developing and implementing manufacturing processes, equipment, and factory layouts for the production of robotic systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype, productionize, and deploy manufacturing solutions that meet customer demand.
• Managing large information data sets and conducting process analysis to ensure scaling goals are achieved.

• You have experience with designing and deploying semi-automated assembly lines or other manufacturing equipment and systems
• Strong project management skills and ability to motivate colleagues in order to reach ambitious goals
• CAD software: OnShape or Creo for part design, AutoCAD or similar for layout planning, FlexSim or Tecnomatix for process simulation
• +7 years practical experience in manufacturing: you’re very comfortable with design for manufacturing, including mechanical, electrical and robotics integration
• You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the product
• Experience bringing a product from concept to mass-production
• Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent
• Experience laying out a factory from scratch
