Engineering Technician

Join Mytra as an Engineering Technician II, where you will be a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid growth. You will be responsible for optimizing assembly lines, troubleshooting technical issues, executing and maintaining processes, supporting workflow efficiency, maintaining production assets, executing hardware builds, and collaborating with the team. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment, hands-on fabrication experience, and proficiency in using standard Metrology & Inspection tools.

• Independently execute routine assembly workflows, troubleshoot common technical issues on the floor, and escalate complex problems when necessary.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) with high accuracy and care, support the maintenance of routine technical documentation and reports, and suggest small process improvements.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives and team-level operational reliability by balancing efficiency with strict attention to quality and detail.

• Have an Associate degree (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment
• Have experience working with structural components, including safely moving heavy equipment with an understanding of level, plumb, and parallelism
• Have hands-on fabrication experience and familiarity with standard machine tools
• Are proficient in using standard Metrology & Inspection tools like calipers, height gauges, and micrometers to complete routine measurements accurately
• Are physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility
• Are capable navigators of modern digital tools (Google Suite) and manufacturing software systems (ERP/MRP/PLM) like Arena or Linear, with assistance as needed
• Have experience or comfort working at heights and basic familiarity with rigging (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.)
• Have proven experience with mechanical assembly, standard shop tools, and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics
• Consistently follow safety procedures, demonstrate good spatial awareness (relative to overhead hazards and moving equipment), and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S)
• Electronics Familiarity: Basic experience with wire harness builds, cable termination, and routing
• Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or ISO 9001 quality management environments
• Logistics & Rigging: Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts
