Senior Software Engineer (IAM)

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design, build, and maintain high-performance microservices and web applications.
• Develop and maintain core services and repositories in Toast, including integrations, managing users, authentication, and permissions.
• Champion best practices in software development, including quality integration and unit testing, and mentor other team members.
• Familiar with asynchronous communication tools (e.g., Pulsar, JMS, Kafka)
• Proven track record of delivering reliable services to production
• The capacity to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly with others to solve the problem, and share knowledge to help the whole team succeed
• Enthusiasm for solving impactful challenges and writing clean, scalable code
• Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in the IAM space
• Exposure to distributed systems is a plus
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin or another object-oriented language, with a deep understanding of testing, quality & best practices

• In-depth understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and enterprise messaging
• Prior experience making an impact on a previous project, product or within an organization
