Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer (R&D)

Join Fulfil, a cutting-edge technology company, as a Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for productizing Fulfil's proprietary technology, conceptualizing and developing new features and equipment, and owning the design of our automation equipment. You will work closely with a cross-functional engineering team and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's success.

• Conceptualizing and developing new features and equipment to enhance Fulfil's proprietary technology.
• Owning the design and implementation of proprietary automation systems, focusing on functional and efficient deployment.
• Leading cost reduction and reliability improvement efforts for mature products, and aligning work to the company business roadmap.

• 4-8 years of experience designing and building complex mechanical systems
• Experience with DFM, DFMEA, 8D, six sigma, relevant engineering tools
• Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot issues
• Cares about the world and wants to have an impact on it
• Ability to travel when we deploy new sites - could be up to 30% of the time for a few months of the year
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Ability to generate ideas in response to complex issues and execute on solutions
• Desire to work in a startup environment
• Experience with CAD, ideally Solidworks
• Expert in Solidworks PDM, Arena Solutions PLM
• Experience in motor system sizing
• Proven record of bringing concepts to production in low turnaround
• Experience in overseeing engineering products made in large quantities
• Experience designing robust automation equipment
• Experience in food tech and/or automation
• Not afraid of robots
