Senior Platform Engineer

Join Autodesk as a Senior Platform Engineer in the Platform Services and Emerging Technology organization. In this role, you will be a senior-level technical leader for developer enablement and onboarding platforms across the Americas, Canada, and EMEA. You will design and evolve systems that improve developer productivity, onboarding velocity, and platform reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in cloud platform engineering, AI/ML systems, and agentic AI workflows.

• Architect and evolve developer onboarding and enablement platforms, standardizing and improving service deployment processes.
• Design and implement cloud-native automation to reduce manual effort across onboarding workflows, leveraging AI/ML and agentic AI systems.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support for developers using internal platforms, troubleshooting complex platform and integration issues.
• Experience with agentic AI systems or LLM-based automation workflows (tool use, orchestration, autonomous agents)
• Proven ability to operate at a Senior Engineer level, combining hands-on execution with architecture ownership and technical leadership
• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC automation (Jenkins, CloudBees, Spinnaker, etc.)
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production AI/ML systems
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering teams
• 8+ years of experience in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and incident resolution skills
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, observability, and distributed system design
• Experience with containerized and distributed systems using Docker and Kubernetes
• 8+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and platform automation tools (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, etc.)
• Experience creating operational documentation (runbooks, engineering guides, system design docs)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience building scalable cloud-native applications using Python, Node.js, or similar frameworks
• You are a senior-level cloud platform engineer who thrives in building scalable systems that improve developer productivity
• You have deep hands-on experience in AI/ML and production-grade agentic AI systems
• You excel at building automation that reduces friction and improves developer experience
• You are motivated by solving complex infrastructure and onboarding challenges at scale
• You have a strong track record of delivering platform-level impact in large-scale engineering organizations
• You have owned architecture for complex distributed platforms and driven technical direction across teams
• You are equally comfortable designing systems and implementing critical components
• Experience building AI-powered developer tools or platform automation systems
• Experience with AWS AI/ML services such as Bedrock or equivalent LLM platforms
• Experience designing agent-based workflows for automation or developer productivity
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems in production environments
• Strong background in DevOps, platform engineering, and infrastructure scalability
• Experience with event-driven and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and modern CI/CD practices
• Demonstrated experience improving developer experience (DevEx) at scale
