Join Nexans, a global leader in electrifying the future. As a GIS Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of large-scale subsea cable projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, influence the use of geographical information, and ensure the accuracy and accessibility of route and geographical data. • Set up the GIS project and ensure a robust structure for all spatial data, import, process and transform survey and other relevant data into the GIS system.
• Take responsibility for issuing cable route coordinates and Route Position Lists (RPL), publish geographical data so it is available, accurate and up to date for other disciplines and external users.
• Ensure that Nexans’ and project‑specific HSE and Quality requirements are incorporated into delegated engineering and procurement activities, support the survey engineer in the follow‑up of subcontracted work.
