Senior Robotic Systems Integration Engineer (SLA & SLS)

Join Formlabs as a Senior Robotic Systems Integration Engineer. In this role, you will support the entire product development cycle, collaborate with design teams, and ensure the quality of our products. You will integrate firmware and hardware subsystems, establish interfaces, manage requirements, design test plans, and resolve system issues. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in designing complex electro-mechanical systems, scripting experience, and familiarity with low-level embedded firmware.

• Support all parts of the product development cycle from early R+D to continuing engineering for shipped products.
• Collaborate closely with design teams to overcome cross-disciplinary problems and ensure that we ship quality products.
• Bring together the firmware and hardware of the subsystems into one system, bring prototypes through integration hell, and ensure that they work optimally as per requirements.

• Knowledge of motion control, sensors and control algorithms
• Have previous experience (3+ years) designing complex electro-mechanical systems
• Scripting experience with Python (preferred), Labview, Matlab, etc
• Well versed in hardware debugging and passionate about understanding why things work (or don’t)
• Experience managing system and subsystem requirements
• Experience in data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with low-level embedded firmware (C++ prefer)
• Experience with consumer electronics\
