Mechanical Engineering Intern (Winter/Spring 2027)

Join our team as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Winter/Spring 2027 term. You will have the opportunity to design, assemble, test, and evaluate the performance of 3D printers. This internship will provide hands-on experience in engineering design, rapid prototyping, and the process of bringing products to market. You will also have the chance to polish your time management and communication skills, build prototype components, and assist with direct communications to vendors and suppliers.

• Participate in the design, assembly, testing, and evaluation of 3D printers, contributing to the overall knowledge required to bring a product to market.
• Engage in design reviews and assist in solving design, engineering, and manufacturing problems, enhancing your problem-solving skills.
• Utilize CAD skills to design parts and assemblies, create engineering drawings, and learn about the importance of documentation control.

• Have one-or-more of the following hands-on experiences:
• Lab research, member of a project team, prior internship or previous work experience
• Have a desire to hone your skills and learn more about engineering design and the process of bringing products to market
• Have worked with complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems and want exposure to the inner workings of 3D printers
• Have an up to date resume and portfolio of your previous experience to highlight what you have learned and how you have applied that learning
