Engineering Manager

Join Orkes as an Engineering Manager, where you'll lead the Cloud & Platform engineering function. This high-impact role requires a hands-on approach to architecture, systems, and production challenges. You'll mentor engineers, review architecture and code, and drive improvements in reliability, performance, and scalability. • Lead and mentor engineers while contributing technically to the Cloud & Platform engineering function.
• Drive improvements in reliability, performance, and scalability of systems responsible for cloud infrastructure.
• Handle frequent context switching across priorities and support high-profile customers and urgent production needs.

• Startup experience or large-company experience with understanding of scale
• Experience leading engineers (formal or informal)
• Strong background in distributed systems / cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience as a hands-on engineer (recently)
• Ability to operate in high-context-switch, fast-moving environments
• OR current EM who still codes and leads technically
• Someone who has seen both startup and structured scale
• Former senior/staff engineer stepping into leadership
