Software Development Manager (Draft AI)

Join Clio, a leading legal tech company, as a Software Development Manager for our AI-powered legal drafting product, Draft. In this role, you will support and grow your team, execute strong technical solutions, and collaborate with your triad to identify impactful opportunities. You will also actively participate in coding, design, and code reviews, and support your team's career growth and development goals.

• Collaborating with the leadership team to understand business challenges and craft a roadmap for the engineering team.
• Designing technical solutions and actively participating in code reviews and project contributions.
• Coaching and developing team members, conducting 1:1 meetings, and participating in hiring to grow the engineering team.
• Demonstrated ability to hire the best and brightest engineers in a fast-paced job market - and to coach, develop, and retain engineering talent
• You devise roadmaps to guide your team, but aren't beholden to them -- you easily adapt to a constantly changing world
• Growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI
• Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large scale SaaS products
• A strong background in hands-on software development
• You believe in providing honest, actionable feedback to your team, and encourage your team to reciprocate

• Experience with AI products at scale
