Senior Developer (Enterprise AI)

Join Clio, a leading legal technology company, as a Senior Developer in Enterprise AI. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will be responsible for building, operating, and evolving Clio's internal AI systems and platforms. You will work closely with various departments to turn real business problems into production-grade AI solutions. • Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled workflows, services, and applications integrated with Clio’s internal data and systems.
• Implement and operate solutions using modern AI platforms and tooling (e.g., LLM APIs, orchestration frameworks, retrieval systems).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical designs and shipped solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or AI systems development
• Solid understanding of system design, reliability, observability, and operational best practices
• Strong proficiency in Ruby, Python, and experience building services, pipelines, or applications in a cloud environment
• Experience operating in environments with security, privacy, or compliance constraints
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or equivalent practical experience
• Working knowledge of modern data platforms and tooling (e.g., SQL, Databricks, dbt)
• Experience working with AI/ML or LLM-powered systems (e.g., prompt design, orchestration, retrieval, or model integration)
• Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI
• Hands-on experience delivering production-grade systems that integrate data, APIs, and complex workflows
