Staff Electrical Engineer (Test Systems)

Join our team as a Staff Electrical Engineer (Test Systems) and play a crucial role in testing avionics flight and ground hardware for E-Space satellites. You will collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to develop the automated test framework for satellite avionics and systems. This position is based in Saratoga, CA, and requires a strong background in custom electronics design and testing, as well as proficiency in Altium Designer and programming languages such as Python, Tcl, and C/C++.

• Participate in all phases of testing avionics flight and ground hardware for E-Space satellites, collaborating with engineers of various disciplines to develop the automated test framework.
• Own the custom functional test equipment design from clean sheet to flight hardware production test, including the development of functional test PCBA and other hardware requirements.
• Execute flight hardware qualification and production acceptance testing, including ambient functional and environmental tests, and support DUT anomaly resolution.

• The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in custom electronics design and testing
• 10+ years of experience in electronics hardware development and testing including schematic capture, PCB layout, hardware characterization testing, and automated test implementation
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
• Strong documentation skills for test procedures, results, analysis, etc
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment including power supplies, loads, oscilloscopes, thermal chambers, etc
• Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout
• Programming skills in Python, Tcl, and C/C++
• Experience with mechanical design in Solidworks
• Experience with radiation effects testing
