System Analyst with strong SQL, data modelling and data integration experience for a long-term data warehouse project at one of Poland’s largest banks. Hybrid work in Warsaw, 12+ months, B2B.

Our Client is a prominent, innovation-driven financial institution and one of the largest banks in Poland. The Bank is continuously developing its technology landscape, modernising its data platforms and building scalable solutions that support critical banking processes.

About the Role
We are looking for a Middle or Senior System Analyst to join an IT team responsible for data warehouse solutions, data integration processes and data pipelines.
The role combines system analysis, logical data modelling and close cooperation with developers, testers, project managers, business teams and other units within the Bank.
You will analyse data sources, design data flows and ETL processes, prepare Source-to-Target Mapping documentation and support the implementation and testing of data ingestion processes. The project also involves data integration within Google Cloud Platform.
Key Project Information
- Location: Hybrid – one day per week in the Warsaw office
- Contract type: Long-term B2B contract
- Project duration: More than 12 months
- Planned start date: 1 September 2026
- Rate: 130–160 PLN net per hour
- Engagement: Full-time
What You Will Do
- Analyse and model data used in data pipelines within data warehouse and data lakehouse environments.
- Analyse and model ETL and data integration processes.
- Analyse and design data integration processes within Google Cloud Platform.
- Cooperate with other units within the Bank to define requirements and specifications for new data sources.
- Design logical data models for an operational data warehouse.
- Prepare Source-to-Target Matrices and detailed data mappings for development teams.
- Translate business and system requirements into clear development tasks, including descriptive specifications and STM documentation.
- Create and maintain functional, system, technical and project documentation.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, data mappings and unit tests.
- Analyse XML and XSD structures and create relational data models based on XSD schemas.
- Support the design, development and testing of data ingestion and integration processes.
- Work closely with developers, testers, project managers, business representatives and other IT teams.
- Provide analytical support throughout the design, implementation and testing stages.
What We Expect
- At least five years of professional experience as an IT System Analyst, including practical experience with data integration processes and data pipelines.
- Very good knowledge of SQL.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and relational data modelling.
- Experience in designing data warehouse models or working with Google BigQuery.
- Practical experience with ETL processes, data integration and data mapping.
- Experience in preparing Source-to-Target Matrices or similar data mapping documentation.
- Ability to translate requirements and data mappings into specifications for developers.
- Experience in documenting business and system requirements.
- Experience in creating functional and/or technical specifications.
- Experience in maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Experience in working directly with internal or external clients to define business and system requirements.
- Ability to analyse XML and XSD structures and build relational data models based on XSD schemas.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- At least a basic understanding of banking products and processes.
- English sufficient for working with technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to quickly understand complex data structures and business processes.
- Independence, accountability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver work reliably and on time.
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services related to data processing and integration, particularly:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Cloud SQL
- PostgreSQL
- Experience with data lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Enterprise Architect, Visio or similar modelling tools.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services projects.
- Understanding of data exchange through services, files and message queues.
