Description:
Tesla is looking for a Class A Driver to work on one of the most progressive vehicles in the world. We are seeking safe and experienced professional drivers with excellent communication skills that can handle a dynamic product development.

Responsibilities:

Operate pre-production Class 8 vehicles on public and private roads according to specified test plans
Support initial screening of new vehicles and installed hardware
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
Identify and accurately communicate changes in vehicle performance or behaviors to engineering teams
Minor Truck & Trailer service and maintenance
Vehicle cleaning (wash and minor detailing)
Miscellaneous jobs as required

Requirements:

Valid driver’s license with Class A CDL. Minimum of 3 years/300,000 miles of incident free driving. 53’ tractor trailer hauling experience preferred
Experience driving in winter conditions and in accordance with local chain law restrictions
Position subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Current DOT Physical Examination (medical card)
Knowledge and adherence to FMCSA regulations and DOT guidelines
Accurately maintain daily driver log book, pre-check and post-check of vehicle
Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 60 pounds) and manually pallet jack heavy material on/off trucks
Able to work OT as required; multiple shifts and work within 100 mile air radius of Tesla Reno
