What you'll do

As our Visual Merchandising/Activity Manager, you will

Lead and inspire a high-performing team

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity coworkers.
• Inspire the team to strengthen and express the unique IKEA identity throughout the store.
• Support competence development, talent growth, and succession planning within the function.

Create inspiring experiences for our customers

• Understand the needs, dreams, and life-at-home realities of people in the local market and translate them into relevant and inspiring solutions.
• Ensure our range is presented in a way that is engaging, affordable, commercial, and reflects a wide variety of lifestyles and preferences.
• Continuously create newness and vitality that inspires visitors and exceeds their expectations.

Drive commercial success through visual merchandising

• Use layout and range presentation as commercial tools to support business growth and long-term profitability.
• Identify and act on commercial opportunities that improve the shopping experience and business performance.
• Ensure visual merchandising solutions are delivered with simplicity, quality, cost consciousness, and efficiency.

Stay curious and inspire innovation

• Keep up to date with retail, home furnishing, design, and lifestyle trends.
• Collaborate with the Com & In team and other functions to develop creative ideas that inspire customers and strengthen the IKEA brand.
• Share best practices, learnings, and insights across the IKEA network.

Put people first

• Always keep customers in mind when implementing changes on the shop floor.
• Ensure activities are carried out with minimal disruption and clear communication.
• Build strong partnerships across functions to create an excellent customer experience.

• You have experience in Visual Merchandising, Commercial Display, or a related field , ideally within a fast-paced retail environment.
• You have a passion for home furnishing, interior design, retail, and visual communication , and you enjoy creating spaces that inspire customers and strengthen the IKEA brand.
• You know how to transform large retail spaces into engaging and visually impactful environments, using store layouts, room settings, and architectural elements to tell a compelling story and create a memorable shopping experience.
• You combine creativity with a strong commercial mindset, ensuring that every presentation not only looks great but also supports business goals and customer satisfaction.
• You are highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines effectively while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• You thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy collaborating with different teams, and are constantly looking for new ways to improve and inspire.
