Metallurgy Intern

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To perform the role of Intern within the Metallurgy division. The responsibilities and authorities of 
• the Intern in the Metallurgy division in relation to post requirements are outlined.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine and non-routine tests following established procedures and/or modify 

procedures to accomplish the assigned Metallurgy tasks.

• Complete tasks within the allocated time and plan work for Interns to ensure that the 

overall service goals of the company are met

• Responsible for reporting any infringements or non–compliances by any other laboratory 

• staff member with respect to allocated work, punctuality, or any other misdemeanor to the 
• metallurgist.

• Must be able to carry out all associated sample preparation test-work for Metallurgy testwork.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Perform any other reasonable task as assigned by direct line manager.

• Diploma / Bachelors degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar.

Experience

Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in the field of Metallurgy or similar.
