At Thermo Fisher Scientific, your work will directly contribute to improving patient care. As an Account Manager in Immunology, you’ll empower healthcare providers and labs to adopt cutting-edge diagnostic solutions, making a tangible impact on patient pathways and outcomes. In addition, you’ll work with distributor partners across the Baltic region to support market development, commercial growth, and increased access to our Allergy and Autoimmunity diagnostic portfolio.

Day in the Life

Each day, you’ll strategize territory plans, meet with key decision-makers across Laboratory, Primary care & Secondary care, and guide them in leveraging our diagnostic portfolio. You’ll manage your pipeline from prospecting to closure, support tender responses, and foster relationships that lead to growth and patient-centred solutions. You’ll also manage and develop distributor relationships across the Baltic region, acting as the primary commercial point of contact and working with partners to identify opportunities, review performance, manage forecasts and pipelines, and support strategic customer and market development activities.

What to Expect

You’ll operate in a dynamic environment, balancing autonomy with collaboration. Expect frequent travel within your territory, engaging closely with clients, and collaborating with internal teams to exceed targets. Every week presents new challenges, but also the satisfaction of seeing your work help patients. The role will also involve travel to distributor markets across the Baltic region and close collaboration with distributor teams to support commercial execution and ensure alignment with agreed business objectives and Thermo Fisher requirements.

Strong territory planning, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles will enable you to consistently achieve and exceed your objectives. Success will also require the ability to influence and develop distributor partners, establish clear commercial priorities, maintain accountability for performance, and effectively manage business through both direct and distributor-led sales models.

Experience

  • Experience in sales position in In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) or Medical Device or healthcare market.
  • Excellent communication and sales and influencing skills including negotiation.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with customers and key opinion leaders at all levels
  • Results oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assimilate information to garner support for resources, change, etc.
  • Must understand the key market drivers and dynamics of the Finland and Baltic healthcare markets, including direct and distributor-led business models.
  • Experience managing distributors, channel partners or indirect sales markets, preferably across multiple countries.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Travel as needed to customer and distributor locations, conferences/workshops (domestic and international), etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • 5 years demonstrated success and experience in IVD sales
  • Preferred Scientific or Medical Background: Masters or equivalent in Science (Biology, Clinical Biology, Immunology)
  • Clean driving licence
  • Local language proficient spoken - Finnish
  • Excellent English language, written and verbal
