About The Role

The Senior Community Philanthropy Specialist leads community-based fundraising initiatives that engage individuals, businesses, and community organizations in supporting Texas Children’s. This role manages a diverse portfolio of fundraising partnerships, develops strategies to grow revenue and engagement, and builds strong community relationships that drive sustainable philanthropic support.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of revenue-generating partnerships, including third-party events, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, Children’s Miracle Network partners, cause marketing, and point-of-sale initiatives.
  • Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and 12–18 month strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with businesses, community organizations, fundraising partners, and individuals.
  • Provide strategic guidance, tools, and support to external event organizers and fundraising partners to maximize engagement and fundraising results.
  • Partner with Major Gift Officers to identify and engage community fundraising prospects and help build the philanthropic pipeline.
  • Represent Texas Children’s at fundraising events, check presentations, community activations, and partner meetings.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Texas Children’s by sharing our mission and strengthening relationships throughout the community.
  • Monitor fundraising performance, analyze results, and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Maintain accurate donor and prospect activity, engagement, and next steps in the CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals, brand standards, and donor stewardship practices.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience in fundraising, event planning, business, project management, community relations, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience with fundraising events, community partnerships, corporate relationships, or revenue-generating programs preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Creative, proactive, and results-oriented approach to building relationships and driving fundraising outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external partners.
