About The Role
- The position in discussion is with the Tax Technology (ES) team consists of highly skilled resources that are dedicated to supporting our member firms, learning and deploying leading practices and innovative solutions, and helping our clients grow.
- Our team comprises software engineers, technical leads, architects, Business Analysts, PMs, testers, test architect, data scientists, data engineers etc. with strong technical and tax domain knowledge. Team builds data/engineering products and solutions for our tax business and clients. Client engagements are run leveraging these products & solutions
Roles and Responsibilities
- Joining the CloudOps team in our Tax Technology capability, the CloudOps Engineer is responsible for the cloud operations, cloud infrastructure & services, and code deployment for our Tax cloud applications and products. You will be working to continuously advance and standardise our cloud infrastructure and deployments, writing infrastructure as code that scales and takes advantage of new technologies
- Lead the design, development, and operation of cloud-based services and workloads across multiple environments (Development, QA, Production).
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure through best practices and the latest technologies.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, scaling, and maintaining cloud environments using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to understand infrastructure needs and ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
- Implement and maintain DevOps tools for monitoring, logging, security, and deployment.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, including troubleshooting steps and system architectures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, embracing the opportunity to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Ensure cloud deployments comply with organisational security and operational standards.
- Participate in incident management and troubleshooting, helping to resolve critical operational issues.
- Graduate/post-graduate qualification B.Tech./BCA/MBA/M-Tech/MCA
- Relevant experience for 5+ years
- Proven experience using Azure or AWS Cloud Solutions.
- Proven experience of Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven experience with Linux configuration.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- A proactive approach to discovering requirements and self-learning.
- Experience in Leading and mentoring junior engineers.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Action, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
- Scripting experience such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
Nice to have Skills
- AKS, Kubernetes, Docker or other serverless experience or desire to learn it.
- Experience using network protocols throughout OSI layers 3-7.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance, including identity management and monitoring
