About The Role

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with strong testing fundamentals to
  • ensure the quality and reliability of our applications. You will be responsible for analyzing
  • requirements, designing and executing test cases, validating business workflows, and tracking
  • defects while working closely with product and development teams. This role requires hands-on
  • experience in manual testing, test case design, defect management, and test reporting, along
  • with the ability to think through real-world scenarios and edge cases as the product evolves
  • rapidly in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, user stories, user flows, and functional specifications to identify test scenarios
  • Design, review, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with the development team
  • Participate in requirement review meetings and provide feedback from a QA perspective
  • Generate and share test execution and quality reports
  • Work closely with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test execution cycles
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Manual QA, preferably with experience testing mobile
  • applications (Android / iOS)
  • Strong foundation in software testing fundamentals, including SDLC, STLC, and the defect
  • life cycle
  • Strong understanding of black box test design techniques, such as Equivalence Partitioning,
  • Boundary Value Analysis, Decision Table Testing, and State Transition Testing
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools (Testiny, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate quality issues clearly
  • Ability to design and document clear, concise, and well-structured test cases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams

Good to Have

  • Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman)
  • Experience in POS, Fintech, or transaction-based systems
  • Knowledge of test automation concepts (not mandatory)
  • Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages is a plus, but not mandatory
  • ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification or equivalent testing certification
