Quality & Validation Analyst - L1

About The Role

  • This role is for a
  • Quality Analyst professional
  • focused mainly on manual/functional testing, with some exposure to automation with 1–4 years of work experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review requirements/specifications:
  • Check requirements for gaps, ambiguity, and inconsistencies before development begins.
  • Create test cases: Design functional, negative, edge-case, and regression test scenarios based on approved requirements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and communicate QA status, risks, and blockers.
  1. Execute testing:
  • Perform manual testing, validate acceptance criteria, and conduct regression testing.
  • Manage defects: Log and track bugs in Jira, provide reproduction steps and evidence, and verify fixes.
  1. Automation:

Support automation using Selenium + Python and/or Playwright + TypeScript.

  1. Stakeholder collaboration:

Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners from requirement review through final sign-off.

Required Skills

  • Experience in manual/functional software testing
  • Strong knowledge of STLC and Agile/Scrum
  • Ability to write detailed test cases and test scenarios
  • Hands-on Jira experience
  • Strong requirement analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good written communication for defects and requirement queries
  • Basic automation knowledge, especially Selenium/Python or Playwright/TypeScript
  • Basic API and database/SQL knowledge is an advantage

Preferred Skills

  • ISTQB Foundation certification
  • Experience with enterprise applications, especially logistics, warehouse, ERP, freight, or supply-chain systems will be will be considered an added advantage.
  • Postman for API testing
  • Basic SQL for backend/data validation
