SRE Intern

About the Role

We're looking for a curious, hands-on DevOps/SRE Intern to join our infrastructure team. You'll work alongside senior engineers to build, automate, and maintain the systems that keep our services reliable and fast.

What You'll Do

• Write and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Help manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy to Kubernetes clusters
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Automate toil through scripts (Python, Bash, Go)
• Participate in incident response, post-mortems, and on-call shadowing
• Contribute to internal developer platforms and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Pursuing a degree in CS, IT, or a related field
• Comfortable with Linux, Git, and the command line
• Basic understanding of networking (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, load balancing)
• Exposure to at least one cloud provider and containerization concepts
• Familiarity with at least one scripting/programming language
• A reliability mindset — you think about what breaks, not just what works

Nice to Have

Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or ArgoCD

• Exposure to observability practices (logs, metrics, traces)
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows or service meshes
• Any cloud certification (even associate-level)
