Role summary

Specialist role focused on bringing operational technology and IoT data into the platform. Handles the harder edge of integration: CCTV, intelligent building management systems, sensors, and industrial control data, bridging them into the IT data estate cleanly and securely.

Key responsibilities

  • Integrate IT, OT, and IoT data sources into the platform, including CCTV, sensors, and building management systems (chillers, power, access control).
  • Build reliable ingestion for time-series and streaming telemetry from operational systems.
  • Bridge OT protocols and data formats into standard platform interfaces.
  • Work with facilities and operations stakeholders to map and validate OT data.
  • Ensure security, segmentation, and governance appropriate to OT environments.
  • Support the pilot use cases that depend on operational data.
  • Must-have skills and experience
  • Experience integrating OT / IoT data sources in an industrial or building-systems context.
  • Strong handling of time-series and streaming data (InfluxDB or similar).
  • Understanding of intelligent building management systems and their data (chillers, power, access control).
  • Familiarity with IT / OT convergence, security, and network segmentation concerns.
  • Ability to work across MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and message/streaming layers.
  • Nice to have
  • Experience with CCTV or video data pipelines.
  • Exposure to industrial protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, or similar).
  • Edge computing or gateway experience.
  • Relevant stack
  • InfluxDB, time-series stores, MQTT / OPC UA, CCTV feeds, building management systems, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis.
  • General attributes
