About The Role
A) Responsibilities: 1. Assist technical officer in finalizing PAF. 2. Review FCR and request any missing information from concerned. 3. Create BOM & Route for FCR and sign it. 4. Study & compare the sample request to FCR (if available). 5. Check the availability of PE for sample orders if applicable, and request it whenever needed. 6. Issue Cliché / Cylinder request to artwork unit for sample orders if needed, and follow-up. 7. Create BOM & Route & test requirements for sample and get technical unit head approval. 8. Update sample backlog. 9. Pass the sample specs to planning for execution. 10. Follow up with planning, production & QA on the sample execution. 11. Validate final sample if conforming to customer specs. 12. Create the TDS & Sample dispatch form and notify planning, WIP Warehouse & logistics unit about sample readiness. 13. Compare new sales orders to FCR & sample orders executed earlier and clarify any discrepancies. 14. Create new product’s BOM, Routes & properties for new commercial orders. 15. Revise existing BOM & Route & test requirements if needed. 16. Perform TDS comparison upon request from purchasing department and test physical properties if A4 sample is available. 17. Plan for testing of new RM run-ability with technical unit head. 18. Create required specs of RM for testing reference. 19. Update RM evaluation log and development samples index. 20. Follow up with planning, production & QA on RM trial execution. 21. Validate final RM trial result if conforming to Compact standards. 22. Send sample resulted from RM trial to customer for final validation if needed. 23. Issue RM / supplier final disposition report. 24. Reflect the final outcome on the RM evaluation log and development samples index. 25. Keep machine limitations files updated. 26. Makes sure that Compact products conform to statutory, regulatory & Food Safety requirements by performing regular tests on the products at external labs & updating food safety team about the results. 27. Issues Certificate of Conformity when required.
B) Safety Responsibilities:- 1- Enforce company regulations and policies regarding Health, and Safety. 2- Read and understand the Health and safety manual. 3- Carry out risk assessment in the section of responsibility with the participation and the cooperation of subordinates. 4- Read and understand the Emergency Response Procedures 5- Pass to junior colleagues, information and instructions received from the weekly health and Safety meetings he attends 6- Forwards questions received from subordinates, to the HSE meetings for an answer if he cannot answer 7- Ensure HSE procedures are adhered to in his area of work 8- Ensure all subordinates are trained and fully understand all safe working practices within their area of work. 9- Establish required training for all personnel, ensuring this is completed, understood, and effective 10- Remain aware of and ensure that the Health and safety practices, local rules and regulations are being implemented in his section. 11- Ensure all checklists/audits within his section are understood and effectively completed 12- Set the standards for the rest of the section where safety is concerned 13- Ensure all near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions are reported 14- Ensure any unsafe acts he sees are immediately stopped 15- Ensure any unsafe conditions are locked out until they are repaired 16- Ensure any new hazards are reported immediately 17- Take part in cross auditing program. 18- Ensure daily “ safety talk” meetings take place in his area of responsibility 19- Attend all safety meetings.
