Assistant Resident Engineer - Mechanical (Substation - 132 KV and Above)

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer with a strong background in the supervision of bridges, roads, and infrastructure projects within the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

Your role

• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in mechanical engineering and construction supervision.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on 132kV and above High Voltage Substation Projects .
• Experience working for a consultancy/site supervision organization is preferred.
• UAE/GCC utility project experience is highly desirable.
• Previous involvement in testing and commissioning activities for substations is preferred.

About you

• Assist the Resident Engineer in the supervision of all mechanical works related to 132kV, 220kV, 400kV, and above substation projects.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Verify contractor resources, manpower, equipment, and construction methodologies.
• Monitor construction progress against approved project schedules.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, protection, SCADA, and commissioning teams.
