About The Role
New Land Hospitality Team Members
are the ambassadors to each of the brand s we represent by providing an exceptional experience for guests through excellent customer service and teamwork . NLH businesses include Crossroads Collective Food Hall; Pharmacy Bar inside Crossroads Collective Food Hall ; Shanghai, a classic yet modern speakeasy in Black Cat Alley; and Canopy Bar, a private bar
l ocated on the 25 th floor of the luxurious and restorative Ascent apartment building . Throughout the summer, we also open outdoor bars in Ivanhoe Plaza and Black Cat Alley for special events .
Current O pening
We are looking for an experienced, professional bartender who can work independently in one or more of our
bars.
Core Skills and Qualifications
Required
- Two or more years of bartending experience
- A vailable to work at least 3 shifts per week
including nights and weekends , as needed
- Must maintain a valid bartender’s license for duration of employment
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with both colleagues and guests through excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Job Duties, including but not limited to
- Stocking the bar before and after each shift with all required ingredients and supplies, including following recipes for batches, syrups, cutting garnishes, juices, etc.
- Consistently preparing all menu items according to their instructions; including craft cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, wine, and N/A options
- Putting orders away as they are delivered
- Preparing light snacks from the bar menu
- Providing excellent customer service
to all Canopy guests
- Completing opening / closing duties and side-work throughout shif t
- Ringing in all orders through the POS system , processing payment, and cash handling
- Upholding the integrity of the beverage program with a high level of knowledge on brand standards, technique, and expectations in craft beverage service
- Reporting out of stock items to supervisor
to ensure adequate ordering for the next week

- This position is part-time.
- Must have reliable transportation .
- Must be able to use a telephone and POS system , stand for long periods of time, and lift up to 50 lbs.
