Job Summary

In this role, the Manager, Camera Development will lead the engineering delivery of Stoneridge's camera product portfolio across multiple global development programs. You will be accountable for technical execution, engineering alignment, and product realization from concept through production while guiding multidisciplinary teams to develop next-generation camera solutions for commercial vehicle applications.

What You’ll be doing

  • Serve as the primary engineering representative across a portfolio of camera development projects, acting as the key link between Engineering , Program & Product Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing and customers
  • Lead the technical delivery of multiple concurrent camera programs, ensuring alignment across systems, software, electronics, and mechanical engineering disciplines
  • Drive the camera system architecture, technical decision making, and engineering execution throughout the product lifecycle, translating customer and business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions
  • Lead technical analysis, design reviews, problem-solving activities, and implementation of corrective actions based on validation and test results
  • Support project teams in the development, integration, testing, and release of hardware, software, and system solutions while monitoring technical risks and project progress
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical project managers and system engineers
  • Guide the evolution of next-generation camera platforms and technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance, consolidate, and expand the product portfolio.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing camera, vision, ADAS, computer vision or optics within automotive is highly desirable
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex products throughout the full development lifecycle, within a global cross functional environment
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering and product development, with the ability to work across software, electronics, hardware, and mechanical domains.
  • Experience in automotive development environments, including familiarity with ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), SOTIF (ISO 21448), and Automotive Core Tools (IATF 16949, APQP, DFMEA)
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset, including experience with structured methodologies such as 8D; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus
  • Hands-on forward thinking leader with a knowledge of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, Linux, and/or Windows environments, with the ability to guide technical teams in system-level development

  • Salary based on knowledge and experience.
  • Full-time employment of 40 hours per week.
  • 8% holiday allowance.
  • Travel allowance home-work: 23ct per kilometer one way up to a maximum of 50 km

  • Retirement: PME (Pensioenfonds Metalektro).
  • WIA: WIA floor, WGA gap and WGA gap additional insurances in accordance with the stipulated provisions.
  • PAWW: Compulsory supplementary insurance when the statutory unemployment WW or WGA benefit expires.
  • Holiday days: 27 days on an annual basis (full-time).
  • ATV: 13 days on an annual basis (full-time)
