CL
Senior Solutions Engineer
Clera · Remote, United States
About The Role
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the single technical thread from first discovery call through to a customer live in production. Sitting within the Commercial Organization and working closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, this role owns the full arc: shaping the solution before the contract is signed, then carrying that design through delivery to go-live. That continuity is what keeps commitments real.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run technical and process discovery with customer stakeholders across supply chain, quality, logistics, and IT, uncovering workflows, data sources, systems, and constraints.
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations mapped to the customer's own lanes, products, and release processes rather than a generic script, and handle technical objections on the spot.
- Own the initial solution design and solution map, defining which modules apply, what data is required, which integrations are in play, and what is phased or out of scope.
- Translate solution designs into scoped, sequenced statements of work and implementation plans, sizing effort honestly and surfacing long-lead items before they become commitments.
- Partner with Sales on proposals and order forms, ensuring everything committed commercially is technically deliverable.
- Lead solution workshops and guide configuration of lane qualification, command center, and automated product release modules through to customer go-live.
- Coordinate with Product, Data, and Engineering to sequence deliverables, manage technical handoffs, and feed real customer patterns back into the roadmap.
- Build reusable assets including reference solution designs, discovery question banks, scoping templates, and integration patterns to accelerate future deals.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Account Manager delivering enterprise software implementations.
- Proven ability to run technical discovery with cross-functional stakeholders and translate requirements into end-to-end solution designs.
- Experience owning solution designs from pre-sales through implementation and go-live.
- Skilled at scoping and sequencing implementation plans, estimating effort, and identifying dependencies.
- Hands-on experience configuring or implementing enterprise software modules such as product release management, qualification systems, or command and control platforms.
- Domain background in supply chain, cold chain, logistics, or quality management systems and workflows.
- Familiarity with regulated industries such as pharma, food, or healthcare, including compliance and traceability requirements.
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools (Figma, FigJam, or equivalent) and project tracking systems (Jira, Linear, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with data integration patterns, API-driven architectures, or system interoperability challenges is a plus.
- Experience building reusable discovery frameworks or implementation playbooks is a plus.
