Quantity Surveyor, MEP

About The Role
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs for MEP works.
- Review tender documents, contract specifications, and project requirements.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations and participate in procurement activities.
- Prepare interim payment applications and certify subcontractor invoices.
- Measure completed works and verify quantities executed on site.
- Prepare, submit, and negotiate variation orders (VOs) and claims.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.
- Maintain records of measurements, cost reports, and commercial documentation.
- Perform cost analysis and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in preparing monthly commercial reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, procurement, and finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Prepare final accounts and support project close-out activities.
- Attend site meetings and provide commercial support to project teams.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification (RICS, AIQS, CIOB, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 5–8 years of experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor in construction, oil & gas, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- GCC/UAE experience preferred.
- Experience working with EPC contractors is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms of contracts is an advantage.
Skills & Professional Requirements
- Strong understanding of quantification, cost estimation and commercial management.
- Strong understanding of project cost control and reporting.
- Knowledge in standard methods of measurements such as CESMM, POMI etc… and standard forms of contract.
- Understanding of the principles of design and construction.
- Base knowledge of risk management procedures, processes and management tools.
- Good knowledge of contract practices and contract administration.
- Analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
