About The Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a senior engineering role on a product-focused team building a secure, scalable AI platform for the SME sector. You will own complex architectural challenges end-to-end, helping grow a platform that already serves a large and rapidly expanding user base across hundreds of companies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the most complex architectural problems on the platform, including multi-terabyte data synchronization and secure sandbox infrastructure.
  • Architect, build, and ship high-quality full-stack features using React and TypeScript, with a focus on long-term scalability and UX.
  • Design and implement systems to synchronize and index large volumes of client data while enforcing strict permissions.
  • Build infrastructure to process millions of LLM calls per month with high reliability and security.
  • Implement scalable, secure code sandbox solutions capable of spawning thousands of sandboxes per day.
  • Create base infrastructure and tooling for fast custom integrations so new systems can be connected quickly.
  • Collaborate on technical roadmaps and align on architectural decisions with the broader development team.
  • Debug production incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes to keep the platform stable.
  • Mentor junior engineers and raise the bar through constructive, thorough code reviews.
  • Continuously improve development processes, code quality standards, and overall team performance.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background, including clearly demonstrated frontend work.
  • Production experience with React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with tRPC, Kubernetes, and modern frontend tooling.
  • Proven ability to design, scale, and maintain complex software architectures for high-growth products.
  • Experience operating large-scale, reliable, and secure systems such as large dataset synchronization, high-volume API or LLM processing, or secure multi-tenant infrastructure.
  • End-to-end ownership of substantial initiatives from conception through delivery and ongoing operation.
  • Motivation and ability to mentor engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and shape engineering standards.
  • Strong product ownership mindset with attention to user experience and long-term product success.
  • Currently based in Munich.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: 70,000 to 90,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Hybrid, based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
