About The Role
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Plumber Apprentice to join our dynamic team. As an apprentice, you will assist with a variety of plumbing tasks under the supervision of experienced plumbers. This position is ideal for someone looking to learn and grow within the plumbing industry while gaining hands-on experience. The apprentice will receive training on the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with Plumbing Installations: Help install plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Assist in repairing and replacing broken pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret plumbing blueprints and diagrams to understand job specifications.
- Tools & Equipment: Safely handle plumbing tools and equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Customer Interaction: Provide customer service under supervision, explaining plumbing issues and assisting with minor queries.
- On-the-Job Training: Participate in training sessions to learn about plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
- Workplace Safety: Follow safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment on job sites.
- General Site Maintenance: Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organization of tools and materials.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and materials, and work in tight or confined spaces.
- Skills: Basic mechanical skills, good hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with a team.
- Licensing/Certifications: (Optional) Ability to obtain any necessary plumbing certifications as required by local regulations.
- Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and in diverse environments (e.g., construction sites, residential homes).
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in construction, mechanical work, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Interest in plumbing as a career and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and with a team of professionals.
