Job Description & Summary
At PwC our audit and assurance teams focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. We evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.
As a Manager in our Assurance team, you'll work with clients within banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance/reinsurance or consumer products, many of which are well known brands, with global reach.
Enhancing your leadership style, you will motivate, develop and inspire others to deliver quality. Leading with integrity and authenticity, you will be coaching, leveraging team member’s unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations, all whilst embracing our values, technology and innovation and encouraging others to do the same.
Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:
- Analysing and identifying linkages and interactions between the component parts of an entire system.
- Taking ownership of projects, ensuring their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion.
- Partnering with team leadership to ensure collective ownership of quality, timelines, and deliverables.
- Developing skills outside your comfort zone, and encourage others to do the same and effectively mentoring others.
- Using the review of work as an opportunity to deepen the expertise of team members.
- Addressing conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
- Upholding and reinforcing professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Required Skills
- Internationally recognised accounting designation such as the CPA, CA, ACA or ACCA;
- Minimum of 5 years recent work experience at a public accounting, or comparable professional service s organization ;
- Proven managerial capabilities and operational experience essential .
