About The Role

Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level and gain international experience? Then join our rapidly expanding team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accoutning Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll own the full reporting cycle from day-to-day entries and reconciliations through review and close using QuickBooks and Xero. Throughout, you'll maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial procedures. The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently; experience with US tax preparation would be a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full reporting cycle: transaction entry and review, bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Review and quality-check entries and reconciliations (your own or work handed off by others — to catch errors before close).
  • Support audit prep, tax filing, and budgeting/forecasting as needed.
  • Flag discrepancies early and recommend process improvements to keep books clean and efficient.
  • As the team grows: help onboard, guide, and review the work of additional data entry staff or junior bookkeepers.

Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelors Degree in Accounts or Finance
  • At least 4 - 5 years of experience in Accounting
  • Ideally certified in QBO and Xero or proven experience working with these software applications
  • Strong communicator - able to write and speak in English simply and clearly
  • The ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Comfortable reviewing and catching errors in others' work, with an eye for accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts/entities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work within a team and be a self-starter
  • Ability to think critically and exercise sound judgement
  • Good cultural fit (some traits we look for: friendly, open to feedback, respectful of other's opinions)

Please note, only short-listed candidates will be contacted for interviews.
